EFT is the most effective tool hands down to break ancient patterns of behavior and thinking both in my opinion and in my experience . Nothing works as elegantly in making links to the past  so  that all a skilled practitioner has to do is be completely present to what the client is feeling to make a session a success. This You Tube clip   from the movie What the Bleep illustrates how triggers for emotional pain often lie beyond what one is experiencing right now in the present moment. In the clip yo ... The Human Body is Designed for Balance

The human body is an amazing vehicle which is in constant flux with change, regeneration, cleansing, and re-balance. It is not programmed to be sick, so whenever we feed it toxins or stress it out, then it automatically goes into re-balance mode and recalibrates so that all of its functions can continue to operate. In cases of extreme stress, bad food, polluted air, other stressors, the body may become so exhausted from constantly trying to stay in balance, that it starts to break down and systems shut down or function in a less-than-desirable ... I think that the following case is fascinating because it demonstrates using an imagined memory that seemed to have no connection to the current situation. And it shows we make progress simply by focusing on the energy disruption in any way that we can access it.    Gina (not her real name) came to me for a discomfort with networking events.  Although she felt that she was a competent coach, even an excellent one, whenever she went to a networking event she would feel very emotional, and ... Fear of flying is such a life limiting phobia in our jet set world but with a one hour session using Emotional Freedom Techniques, Kelly was able to fly to San Diego and the next month fly to Hawaii for her first tropical vacation. I have included her EFT session and chose to use Lindsey Kenny’s, “Golden Gate Technique” to help this wonderful lady release her fear. As you will see her fear was connected to a 57 year old memory of her mother’s fear of flying. Kelly is a very bright business woman, but her fear of flying limited ... A New Way to Use EFT for Getting to Sleep

From time to time I have written about ways in which EFT can be very helpful when we want to get to sleep and can’t seem to. Recently, I have discovered an additional way to do this which I find extremely useful. You may want to try a variation of it at those moments when you want to get to sleep quickly. Before any of us fall to sleep, as I well remember from my studies during the years when I was engaged in research on sleep and dreams, we enter a period known as the “hypnagogic state”. That short period of time that occurs ... Read Entire Article Click Here

One evening our 10-year old son Josh told us over dinner that his teacher was threatening to send him down to the lower math class due to his continuing poor performance in mental math tests (You remember those tests you did at the start of math class where the teacher called out math problems and you had to solve them in your head and put down the answers). Josh had received just 4 out of 10 on the test that day and had been told that unless he received 7 out of 10 on the next day's mental math test he would be sent down to the lower ... Many people work with me to overcome the after effects of traumas like rape, auto accidents, childhood abuse, war experiences, etc. These terrifying, often life threatening events leave them with what is called Post Traumatic Stress. They can't stop reliving what happened, often have nightmares, and develop other fears.I also see people who suffer from another kind of trauma, and they don't even know it. They usually come in to seek treatment for something else and discover that unhealed emotional wounds from a past disturbance are contributing ... Read Entire Article Click Here

What do champagne, the neon ball in Times Square, and New Year’s resolutions all have in common? They all appear sparkly and bright on December 31 and almost the next day have disappeared. Research shows that up to 88% of New Year’s resolutions end in failure, yet each year more than half of Americans still make them. What is it about the changing of the year that either inspires or pressures people to make such a great effort to try and change something that they have been unable to accomplish over the past 365 days? It’s the unacceptabil ...
