As most clinicians and counsellors are aware, treating a client with addictions can be very challenging. A client who has realized that they have an addiction is only the beginning of their healing journey. There are distinct stages this client will go through before they are able to let go of their addictive behaviours. EFT Master, David Rourke will be facilitating a 6 week teleseminar specifically designed with addictive behaviours in mind. This teleseminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the Transtheoretical Model of Change with the integration of EFT. Participants will be introduced to this six stage model of change with emphasis placed on specific issues prevalent in each stage. Strategies for transitioning through the stages, using a meridian based therapy will be explored. Participants will be led through an experiential exercise focusing on reducing ambivalence. Upon completion of this 6 week course participants will be able to: - effectively apply this technique immediately upon completion of this course. - help clients resolve long-standing emotional issues that may be triggering them, quickly and permanently! - integrate EFT with the Transtheoretical Model of Change to help your client as they go through the stages of change to overcome their addictive behaviour. - teach your clients this simple, effective technique to self-regulate cravings thus reducing the risk of relapse. All registered participants will receive a downloadable Treating Addictions with EFT workbook. All teleseminars will be recorded and available for free download.
