You say you
want to lose weight.  You want to feel
better.  Move more easily. Breathe less
heavily. Wear your smaller size clothes. You want your blood pressure to come
down and your blood sugar levels to be below 100.  You want the results of losing weight.

You don’t
say you want to eat less foods. Or different foods. Or drink less alcohol. Or
move your body more.  You want the results
without taking the steps to get there.

You’re not
alone.  We all desire outcomes but don’t
consider the cost of achieving those outcomes. It’s easy and fun to imagine the
results than to ponder the day to day changes we must make to achieve those
results. We’re even encouraged by the Law of Attraction materials to daydream
about our deepest desires.  This
supposedly will help attract those things to us.

Well,
maybe.  But it takes more than
daydreaming. All goals take small steps to achieve.  Big goals, like weight release, take many small steps to achieve.  These small steps start between the
ears.  What are you thinking about your weight loss goals? Do you think, “Who am I
kidding? I’ve never been able to stick to a diet for more than 2 weeks.” Or, “It
will take too long. Why begin?” Or, “I have
to blow my diet when I go to a party, on vacation, or to a special event,
or even on the weekends.” Or, “What will I do with all those uncomfortable
feelings that surface when I stop overeating?” Oh my.

Weight
release coaching with Emotional Freedom Techniques takes each of those
self-sabotaging thoughts (and the other dozens that can keep you stuck) and
holds them up to the light of tapping.
Yes, surprisingly, tapping on our acupressure points while focusing on
these thoughts actually makes them seem absurd.
You find confidence to begin yet again despite your past history of
failure. You feel inspired to start even though you know it will be a long
journey.  Special events (gee, there are
so many!) suddenly don’t seem so special in terms of overindulgence. And tapping
is an effective remedy for those feelings of anger, frustration, anxiety, fear,
loneliness, you name it, that float to the surface without excess food pushing
them down.

I wouldn’t
be a Weight Release Coach without EFT.
It is the tool that makes the difference between constant failure and
success. It is the tool that gives me hope that I can help others move forward
on this very personal journey.  And it
makes a challenging goal a heck of a lot easier to attain, one little step at a
time.
