I was 42 years old and I used to wake up with pain in my right hip about 50% of the time. It seemed very "logical" that I should have developed this problem as I have a bunion on my right foot which deforms my foot. This, in turn, seems to twist my whole leg to a certain degree all the way up to the hip; meaning it is not aligned as it was naturally meant to be. Nothing seemed odd about finally, in my forties, developing hip pain that seemed related to this condition. In spite of that, I decided to try EFT on it (long before I became convinced it would work):
I did from 3 to 5 rounds (Basic Recipe) of things like:
Even though my right hip hurts sometimes when I wake up, I completely love and accept myself.
Reminder phrase: Right hip hurts sometimes.
Even though the right side of my body is wonky, I completely love and accept myself.
Reminder phrases: Right side is wonky. My body is off-kilter.
Even though I'm going to need a hip replacement some day, I completely love and accept myself.
Reminder phrase: I'm gonna need a hip replacement.
Even though my left brain isn't doing it's job in supporting me, I completely love and accept myself.
Reminder phrase: Left brain isn't supporting me.
Much to my surprise at the time, my "logical" hip pain completely disappeared. I haven't had one incidence of hip pain in over two years since I did those rounds and I don't expect it back any time soon.
