Didn’t know you had a “shadow”? It’s your ego, the part of yourself that is driven by fear. Want to embrace it and let it go? Or learn how to bring light to it? EFT (tapping) is an amazing resource for working with your shadow. Once you learn how to manage the shadow with EFT, you will be able to control and avert self-sabotage and negative self-talk, and clear blocks to success. The ultimate result: more peace, love, and joy in your life.
We have many parts within our shadow:
Pleaser, inner critic, angry witch, energy vampire, drama king or queen, controller, perfectionist, etc.
- When we push down or deny our parts, they remain in our subconscious mind and become
even louder, stronger, and more out of control. - Some of our parts contribute to feelings of shame and self-hatred.
- When we remain dissociated from our parts, they continue to act up, demanding that
their needs be met. - Our disowned selves contain energy patterns. They show up as strong emotional reactions.
- Disowned selves accumulate energy in the same way that a dam accumulates water.
We don’t want to BECOME our disowned parts; we just want to embrace them, have a conversation
with them, and recognize how they limit us. We want to FEEL these parts energetically,
so that we can free them. Once we reclaim our disowned parts, by giving them attention and by reclaiming them,
we can reclaim peace, love, and joy in our lives.
Affirmations for Embracing our Shadow:
I take 100% responsibility for every experience in my life.
I practice being detached from outcomes. I allow that whatever IS is OK.
My life transforms as I transcend my shadow.
My consciousness is evolving as I embrace my shadow.
I have discovered that what I admire in others, I have within myself.
I welcome wholeness; I am becoming my True Self.
I can finally stop hiding from myself.
I let go of FEAR as I embrace LOVE. I am becoming whole, authentic, and on track with my life purpose.
I acknowledge my greatness and my gifts, and I am grateful.
As I practice self-forgiveness, I am able to forgive others.
As I embrace my shadow, and turn toward the light, I see myself, others, and the world differently. I see through the eyes of love.
For your own shadow work, take each affirmation that applies to you, and state it while tapping at each meridian point used in EFT.
